Eric Holder Might Run in 2020

Former Obama-era Attorney General Eric Holder revealed in an interview this week that he aspires to both lead the so-called “resistance” against President Donald Trump and also potentially one day run for president, perhaps as early as 2020.

“Up to now, I have been more behind-the-scenes,” he told Yahoo News in an exclusive interview. “But that’s about to change. I have a certain status as the former attorney general. A certain familiarity as the first African-American attorney general.”

“There’s a justified perception that I’m close to President Obama, so I want to use whatever skills I have, whatever notoriety I have, to be effective in opposing things that are, at the end of the day, just bad for the country,” he added.

Accordingly, Holder has begun forming a political action committee-like organization to develop and coordinate “resistance” strategies among Democrat-controlled states in the hopes of interfering with the president’s agenda.

The veritable troublemaker clearly wasn’t kidding about his desire “to be effective in opposing things.”

As noted by The Resurgent, his law firm played a key role in helping Democrat legislators in California draft a bill “designed to block the Trump administration from forcing local police units to deport illegal immigrants.”
