ISIS Operating on U.S.-Mexico Border, Attack “Imminent”

Screen Shot 2014-08-30 at 10.43.44 PMThe government watchdog organization Judicial Watch has reported there is a U.S. government warning that a terrorist attack is imminent along the Texas and Mexico border.

Part of the reason for the alert can be traced to a recently published online magazine for Al-Qaeda hinted at an attack.

Furthermore, ISIS has made it plain that they want to raise hell not only in their native Iraq, but in the U.S. as well.

Judicial Watch reports ISIS is presently operating in the Mexican City of Juarez and is in the process of planning an attack with car bombs or improvised explosive devices carried by vehicles.

Federal agencies like the  Departments of Defense, Justice and Homeland Security and Border Patrol have been put on alert.

According to WND, “One source told Judicial Watch intelligence officials “picked up radio talk and chatter” pointing to an attack on the border. The source said both ISIS and al-Qaida were planning plots, and told Judicial Watch an attack ‘is coming very soon.'”

Perhaps the surge in activity is because ISIS can smell an impotent leader in charge.

Obama has implied he has no strategy, no plan of action to deal with ISIS, and the terrorist organization is probably looking at this like blood in the water.

An attack on U.S. soil could also be seen as retaliation for the recent airstrikes in Iraq.

The FBI and Department of Homeland Security were so worried that airstrikes in Iraq could cause ISIS to retaliate in America, the agencies sent warnings to local law enforcement officials. ISIS had already declared its beheading of journalist James Foley was in retaliation for those airstrikes meant to prevent genocide and attacks on U.S. consulates.

The United States is definitely in a precarious situation.

The border hasn’t been secured and, as Rick Perry points out, it’s likely terrorists have been streaming across the border over the past few weeks.

After all, how hard would that really be?

The U.S. has not yet raised the terror threat level even though these revelations have put the United States’ defensive agencies on high alert. Meanwhile, Britain has raised its terror-threat level to “severe” due to the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks.

Mexican officials don’t seem to be too worried and have reportedly denied the possibility that anything of this nature could happen on their soil.

“Mexican authorities have no record of the presence of Islamist extremist groups or individuals in Mexico,” said Ariel Moutsatsos, minister for public affairs at the embassy in Washington. “We take all possible measures to impede any terrorist activity in our territory.”
