See How John Boehner Is Trying to Tear This Country Apart

Speaker of the House John Boehner is giving those in The US House who are opposed to comprehensive immigration reform a very hard time.

If it’s not enough that the stalwart few in the house are besieged by attacks from Democrats on the issue, it’s only being compounded by the fact that Boehner has taken good-natured ribbing into an all out verbal assault on some House republicans.

According to Boehner, his aggressive nature towards those who don’t want to move forward on the issue has everything to do with their unwillingness to do something that is “too hard.”

Boehner has been quoted mocking these individuals saying their reluctance to sweep the bill through The House comes from a whiny, childish attitude:

“Ohhhh, don’t make me do this. Ohhhh, this is too hard.” Boehner has said when asked what the response is of House republicans who don’t want to sign the legislation into law.

Though the Democrat-controlled Senate approved a bipartisan immigration bill last year that would help pave an eventual path for 11 million undocumented immigrants, the measure has stalled in the GOP controlled house.

The truth is, the few who don’t want to move forward with comprehensive immigration reform are resisting not because it’s too hard, but because the bill doesn’t align with their constituents’ values.

Many House Republicans (some of who align closely with Tea Party ideology) do not want to put their names on any bill that provides amnesty for the illegal immigrants.

Boehner, on the other hand, seems more concerned with affairs at the upper echelons of D.C. as opposed to listening to what much of the rank and file in the House have to say.

According to Michael A. Needham, of Heritage Action:

“John Boehner is more interested in advancing the agenda of high-powered DC special interests than inspiring Americans with a policy vision that allows freedom, opportunity, prosperity and civil society to flourish,” said Heritage Action chief executive officer in a statement.

And as CNN has documented:

“Boehner has become increasingly outspoken in public in recent months against some of the influential DC-based conservative groups, such as Heritage Action, which have strong ties to the tea party movement and other grassroots activists.”

Rather than trying to hold the country together, Boehner is helping to contribute to the country falling apart.
