Trump Prepares For 17-Day Vacation

President Trump, who continually derided former President Obama for taking vacations, is apparently about to take a 17-day vacation at his private golf club in central New Jersey, according to the Daily Mail.

Trump’s trip will coincide with the repairs at the White House, which is scheduled to have its 27-year-old heating and cooling system replaced.

Trump’s vacations since taking office have eclipsed those of his two immediate predecessors; Trump has taken 41 days of vacations; George w. Bush took 33 days, and Barack Obama took 15 in the same time period.

  1. What a hypocrite but it aligns with his narcissistic personality. So it’s o.k. for him but not anyone else? Hah! Somehow he missed many of life’s lessons about onesself in relation to the world. Was it the way he was raised or a reflection of an undiagnosed/untreated cognitive, behavioral, or psychological impairment, I wonder? From here on out I’d suggest that candidates receive a comprehensive psych eval after announcing their candidacy. He had all the hallmarks and won because a majority of his base never took psych classes or worked in a field in which his behavior would be identified as warranting intervention. Sad.

Leaving a home where renovations are being conducted is a common (and common-sense) practice. The change in location (why not make it a comfortable one) does not mean a “vacation” as normal business activities may well continue at any location. That latter is true for anyone who owns or runs a business and would equally apply for those who run a country.
