Trump Prepares For 17-Day Vacation

President Trump, who continually derided former President Obama for taking vacations, is apparently about to take a 17-day vacation at his private golf club in central New Jersey, according to the Daily Mail.

Trump’s trip will coincide with the repairs at the White House, which is scheduled to have its 27-year-old heating and cooling system replaced.

Trump’s vacations since taking office have eclipsed those of his two immediate predecessors; Trump has taken 41 days of vacations; George w. Bush took 33 days, and Barack Obama took 15 in the same time period.

Trump has had a change of heart since 2004, when he wrote in Trump: Think Like a Billionaire, “Don’t take vacations. What’s the point? If you’re not enjoying your work, you’re in the wrong job.” He doubled down that same year when he spoke to Larry King, asserting, “Most of the people I know that are successful really don’t take vacations. Their business is their vacation. I rarely leave. You know that. You and I are friends. How often do you see me going away?’
